Now in its 12th year, the Blacktown City Creative Arts Fund offers funding opportunities for local creatives and projects encouraging creative practice and professional artistic development in our community.
Applicants are invited to submit creative initiatives and projects across a range of mediums including performance, visual arts, music, digital art, podcasts, multimedia, dance, photography, professional development and more.
In 2025, Blacktown City Council awarded $45,000 in grants to 10 outstanding organisations and artists.
Past recipients have expanded their artistic practice, improved skills and gained employment opportunities.
Nicole Oliviera, a 2024 recipient, curated and produced ‘CLOSER’ (pictured), a fashion show at Common House Studios, produced in partnership with OPN.
The show featured a suite of local designers and artists and highlighted the cultural richness of western Sydney.
The Mayor of Blacktown City Brad Bunting said: “Blacktown City is full of creative people with stories to tell, ideas to share and work that deserves to be seen.
“The Creative Arts Fund gives local artists and organisations practical support to develop their practice, build their skills and bring new projects to life.
“Over 12 years, this fund has strengthened Blacktown’s arts and cultural life, and I encourage local creatives to apply and make the most of this opportunity.”
