The project involved upgrading an outdoor sensory garden with new play and sporting facilities.
The inclusion of a commissioned mural, created in collaboration with local Dharug Elders, also strengthens cultural connections and provides an ongoing learning resource.
The project was delivered with $600,000 in funding from the Albanese Government through the Schools Upgrade Fund Round 2.
Attorney-General and Member for Greenway, Michelle Rowland: “A lot of work has gone into delivering the new outdoor sensory garden at Casuarina School in Riverstone, providing students with dedicated spaces to support their learning and engagement with teachers and peers.
“The Albanese Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those at Casuarina School, get the best possible opportunity to support their education.
“Every Australian child, no matter where they live, deserves to have the best school experience possible”.
