Next week, she will represent NSW in the State U17s team. Winny will be joined by fellow GWS Fury players. BCNA and GWS Fury are very proud of Winny and her teammates.
BCNA and GWS Fury will also be well represented with team officials through the Head Coach and Apprentice Coach for the NNSW U17s, as well as the physio for the Queensland teams, coming from within the GWS Fury program.
The National Netball Championships will be held at Sydney Olympic Park from 10-16 April 2025 and we wish all our GWS Fury athletes and officials all the best.
BCNA has also kicked off the 2025 representative season with excellence! In 2025, BCNA will proudly showcase the talents of nine representative teams in prestigious Netball NSW competitions.
Our impressive line-up includes six aged teams, ranging from first time rep players in the 12s to the seasoned players in the Opens, alongside three impressive
Metro League teams.
The selection process for these teams was rigorous, with over 300 talented athletes vying for spots. Final selections were made based on individual performances, team dynamics, and the potential each player demonstrated to excel at higher levels of competition for their age group.
Throughout pre-season training the players have proven themselves and are ready to take on the challenge of representing BCNA with pride and passion.
To gear up for the respective State Titles campaigns later in the year, our teams braved a series of challenging representative carnivals in March. From the sweltering heat at Gosford to the drenching rains in Penrith, our athletes showed extraordinary resilience and spirit.
The carnivals have given our teams a glimpse of their opposition as well as the opportunity to test player combinations and court play.
Meanwhile, our Metro League teams have ignited their 2025 campaigns with a bang, securing spectacular victories across all three divisions. Although the competition is still in its initial stages, these early triumphs set a promising tone for the season ahead.
None of this success would be possible without the dedicated efforts of our exceptional coaches, team officials, and the countless volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
Their unwavering commitment and enthusiasm are the backbone of our program, ensuring that every player can excel and reach their full potential. Their contributions are invaluable and very much appreciated by all.
BCNA will also be proudly represented with two of our national badged umpires taking up prestigious opportunities with Netball NSW to be part of the Umpire Pool for the Metro League competition.
These umpires have been providing exceptional support to our representative program through the trial and selection process as well as at representative carnivals.
