BCNA are also the proud owners of the GWS Fury Premier League franchise.
Whilst the 2025 Winter Season has wrapped up, there is still plenty going on for our netball community!
The Blacktown City Council (BCC) are in the process of upgrading our courts at International Peace Park! We are very excited that this work is being undertaken and can’t wait for our bright and shiny new courts being ready for our 2026 season!
This upgrade represents a fantastic investment in the future of our netball community. The improvements to the courts will provide a safer playing environment for everyone, from our youngest juniors just starting out, right through to our senior teams.
With new court surfaces, our players, coaches, umpires, and supporters will benefit from the best possible conditions for training and competition.
We are grateful to BCC for recognising the importance of quality sporting facilities and supporting local sport. The upgraded courts will not only boost our association’s ability to run competition matches and events but will also help foster greater participation and community spirit.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to International Peace Park next season to experience the fresh new courts - whether you’re playing, coaching, cheering from the sidelines, or just stopping by to enjoy the atmosphere!
Netball NSW Masters State Titles
During October, BCNA entered a team in the Netball NSW Masters State Titles held at Illawarra Sports Stadium. This was the first time BCNA was represented in the Over 35's competition and was a fitting conclusion to what has been a very successful 2025 for our senior representative teams.
The competition was tough with many previous representative players turning out for teams stretching from Hastings Valley, north of the state, to Shoalhaven, in the south.
The team, under the expert coaching guidance of Jennie Webster OAM performed exceptionally well for their first state outing and established a solid platform the BCNA can launch from in the future. Congratulations to Eastwood Ryde who won the competition going through undefeated.
Get ready for something new and special! The GWS Fury Netball Academy Program, kicks off in 2026 and is “where talent meets opportunity”.
If you're 13 or older (in 2026), male or female, and love netball, this is your chance to level up your game with awesome coaches, make new friends, and have a blast along the way.
The academy isn’t only for representative players, it’s for all skill levels – those who want to make a higher grade in their own club, or crack into the representative team – it’s for athletes of any level!
It’s also not just about skills. It's about teamwork, learning, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. We’re big on supporting everyone, especially those from underrepresented groups, and making sure all players feel at home. We’re shaping the future of netball together - one energetic training session at a time!
We want to inspire and support every young netballer to go further - on and off the court - in an environment that’s welcoming and high-energy!
Our mission is simple: spot new talent, help every player grow, and open up awesome pathways for players at all levels. We’re all about making sure every player gets their time to shine and feels like they belong.
Details on the Academy can be found on the GWS Fury Facebook page. Registrations for the program close at 5pm Sunday 9 November.
