TAFE NSW NIRIMBA CAMPUS SHARES $1M

The TAFE NSW Nirimba campus is set to benefit from its share of a $100M state-wide investment in TAFE NSW facilities and equipment.
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee announced that more than 140 campuses across the state will receive funding for plant and teaching equipment upgrades, and programmed maintenance.

“The NSW Government has already committed $160M to reskill 100,000 people as part of its Skilling for Recovery initiative. And now, we’re investing a further $100M to provide state of the art training facilities for the people of NSW,” Mr Lee said.

Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly welcomed the announcement.

“I’m excited to see the investment the NSW Government is making to maintain and upgrade public training facilities in the Riverstone community,” Mr Conolly said.

At the Nirimba campus, the investment will focus on campus maintenance programs including minor construction, electrical, fire safety, and plumbing.

Funding will also be allocated for a range of new equipment including an excavator, skid steer loader, washing machine, rough terrain crane, and an elevated work platform.

“Investment in training is critical to the success of our state’s economy; the key to getting a great job is having access to the best training and facilities,” Mr Conolly said.
