UNIQUE EXHIBITION: WOMEN UNDER THE LIGHT
SYDNEY based female photographer, Gayathri Nisakulan, will be exhibiting her colorful portraits of diverse women at a local event.
Originally from Sri Lanka, Gayathri owns Sydney based photography business, Gaya Photography. As a qualified photographer with a special interest in portraits, she has completed an advanced module “Perfect Portraiture” at the Photography Institute, Sydney. Gayathri is currently undertaking a Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging course at the Photography Institute.
Through these images, Gayathri highlights unity and respect by showcasing portraits of proud women in their cultural clothing.
Case worker and employment officer Conscila Jerome Emilianus said: “The photographer wanted to celebrate diverse women and their cultural clothing. It not only highlights the beauty of the women and their clothing but also unity among the women.Through the lens the photographer has brought diverse women under one light."
The Exhibition will be held at The Granville Centre, 2a Memorial Dr, Granville, Sunday October 29, 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
